ANNEXE 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1 The times permitted to sell alcohol do not prohibit or restrict the supply to, or consumption by, any person of alcohol in any premises where the premises are bona fide used, or intended to be used, for the purpose of habitually providing for reward, board and lodging, including breakfast and at least one customary main meal.
2 The times permitted to sell alcohol do not prohibit or restrict the sale of alcohol to a trader for the purposes of their trade or to a club with a Club Premises Certificate for the purposes of the club.
3 The times permitted to sell alcohol do not prohibit or restrict the ordering of alcohol to be consumed off the premises, or the despatch by the vendor of the alcohol so ordered.
4 The times permitted to sell alcohol do not prohibit or restrict the taking of alcohol from the premises by a person residing there.
5 The times permitted to sell alcohol do not prohibit or restrict the supply of alcohol for consumption on the premises to any private friends of a person residing there who are bona fide entertained by them at their own expense, or the consumption of persons so supplied.
6 The times permitted to sell alcohol do not prohibit or restrict the supply of alcohol for consumption on premises to persons employed there for the purposes of the businesses carried on by the holder of the licence, or the consumption of liquor so supplied, if the liquor is supplied at the expense of their employer or of the person carrying on or in charge of the business on the premises.
7 The times permitted to sell alcohol do not prohibit or restrict the sale or supply of alcohol to any canteen or mess, being a canteen in which the sale or supply of alcohol is carried out under the authority of the Secretary of State or an authorised mess of members of Her Majesty’s naval, military or air forces.
8 The times permitted do not prohibit or restrict, during the first twenty minutes after the above hours, the taking of the alcohol from the premises unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel.
9 Music outside shall cease at 2300 hrs.
10 Fire appliances shall be inspected and if necessary, replaced, on an annual basis.
11 There shall be an annual electrical safety check by a qualified electrician.
12 All fire escapes shall be maintained in a satisfactory manner and will not be obstructed during the times that the premises are open to the public.
13 At closing time, the management shall request and encourage customers to leave the premises quietly.
14 Photographic proof of age shall be required from anyone seeking to purchase alcohol who appears to be under 18 years of age.
15 CCTV shall be installed and working to the satisfaction of the Police and Local Authority and recordings shall be maintained for one month.
16 If the CCTV equipment is inoperative, the Police and Local Authority shall be informed as soon as possible and immediate steps will be taken to put the equipment back into action.
17 A notice shall be displayed at the entrance to the premises advising that CCTV is in operation.
18 Alcoholic and soft drinks will be served in plastic or toughened glasses.
19 If glass bottles are used, the contents shall be decanted into plastic or toughened glass.
20 No customers carrying open or sealed bottles or glasses will be admitted to the premises at any time.
21 All bottles and glasses shall be removed from public areas as soon as they are finished with or empty.
22 All-inclusive nights or other irresponsible drinks promotions will not be permitted.
23 An anti drug policy agreed by the Police and local authority shall be in force.
24 A detailed “customer code of conduct” poster shall be displayed warning customers that if they act in an inappropriate manner, they could be barred from all licensed premises in the vicinity.
25 The premises shall be a member of Pubwatch and a representative will attend Pubwatch meetings and participate in all initiatives.
26 The placing of bottles into receptacles outside the premises shall take place at times that will minimise disturbance to nearby properties.
27 A crime prevention policy agreed by the police and local authority shall be in place.
28 No persons under 18 shall be permitted in the Bar or Pool area.
29 The premises may remain open for up to 30 minutes after the end of the period during which the retail sale of alcohol is permitted on Sundays to Wednesdays, or for up to 60 minutes on Thursdays to Saturdays.
30 The Sale by Retail of Alcohol, Late Night Refreshment and Regulated Entertainment will be confined to the area (s) as outlined in RED on the attached plan (s).
