ANNEXE 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1 All staff shall receive training in the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 at the time of their recruitment commensurate with their intended job role.
2 A licence-holder associated with the premises shall be on the premises at all times it is open to the public.
3 Alcohol shall only be served at tables with seating and not in a bar area.
4 All tables shall be supervised and cleared on a regular basis.
5 A licence-holder associated with the premises shall be a member of the Ilfracombe and Woolacombe Licensees Association, so long as it exists.
6 There shall be an annual inspection of all portable fire fighting equipment by a qualified and competent person. A record of which will be kept at the premises and shall be made available for inspection by an authorised Officer. Any defective fire fighting appliances identified by an inspection or at any other time shall be repaired or replaced as soon, as is reasonably practicable.
7 There shall be an annual inspection of all electrical equipment by a qualified and competent person. A record of which will be kept at the premises and shall be made available for inspection by an authorised Officer. Any defective electrical appliances identified by an inspection or at any other time shall be repaired or replaced as soon, as is reasonably practicable.
8 There shall be a monthly inspection of the emergency lighting in the public areas. A record of which will be kept at the premises and shall be made available for inspection by an authorised Officer. Any defects in the emergency lighting identified by an inspection or at any other time shall be repaired or replaced as soon, as is reasonably practicable.
9 Customers shall be asked to vacate the premises in an orderly manner and notices shall be displayed at the exits requesting the same.
10 Alcohol shall not be served to persons who appear to be drunk and / or disorderly.
11 A proof of age policy shall be operated to prevent the sale to or consumption of alcohol by under age persons. Photographic ID shall be requested as evidence from anyone who wishes to purchase alcohol and who appears to be under the age of 21.
12 The premises may remain open for no more than 60 minutes after the end of the period during which the retail sale of alcohol is permitted, as a “wind-down” period.
13 Substantial and reasonably priced food shall be available to customers at all times.
14 Telephone numbers for local taxi firms shall be available and, if required, will be called free of charge.
15 No customers shall be permitted to take open containers of alcohol from the premises.
16 All inclusive nights or other irresponsible drinks promotions shall not be permitted.
17 In the absence of daylight, the lighting in any area accessible to the public shall be fully operational.
18 Customers shall be encouraged to wait within the premises for their taxis.
19 Children shall not be admitted after 2100 hrs unless accompanied by their parents or other suitable adult.
20 Notices suggesting that the bistro is not suitable for young children (under 12 years of age) after 2100 hrs shall be displayed.
21 The sale by retail of alcohol will be confined to the area (s) as filled in RED on the attached plan (s).
