ANNEXE 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
1 The Challenge 21 Scheme shall be fully implemented.
2 The sale of alcohol will be ancillary to the retail sale of non-alcoholic gifts, locally sourced (south west) goods and delicatessen goods.
3 Door supervisors shall only be required at the discretion of the manager.
4 CCTV shall be installed and working to the satisfaction of the Chief Officer of Police and the Local Authority.
5 Recordings will be maintained for an appropriate period, generally one month but to be agreed with the police and local authority.
6 If the CCTV equipment is inoperative, the police and local authority shall be informed as soon as possible and immediate steps shall be taken to put the equipment back into action.
7 A notice shall be displayed at the entrance to the premises, advising that CCTV is in operation.
8 No customers carrying open or sealed bottles shall be admitted to the premises at any time.
9 No customers shall be permitted to take open containers of alcoholic or soft drinks from the premises.
10 No customers shall be permitted to take open containers of alcoholic or soft drinks from the premises.
11 Means of escape shall be maintained unobstructed, immediately available and clearly identifiable.
12 Exit doors shall be regularly checked to ensure they function satisfactorily. Records of these checks shall be kept and produced upon request.
13 Any removable security fastenings shall be removed whenever the premises are open to the public or staff.
14 All fire doors shall be maintained effectively self-closing and shall not be held open other than by approve devices.
15 Fire resisting doors to service shafts, ducts and cupboards shall be kept locked shut.
16 Notices detailing the actions to be taken in the event of a fire or other emergency shall be prominently displayed and maintained in a good condition.
17 All fire exits and means of escape shall be signed in accordance with BS5499.
18 An evacuation policy shall be in place that is to the satisfaction of the Fire Authority. All staff members shall be trained in the evacuation policy.
19 The fire brigade shall be called to any outbreak of fire, however slight.
20 Wall and ceiling finishes shall be fire resistant.
21 Exit doors shall open outwards or will be secured in the open position.
22 Adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials shall be available on the premises.
23 In the absence of adequate daylight, the lighting in any area accessible to the public shall be fully operational.
24 Fire safety signs shall be adequately illuminated.
25 A periodic electrical installation report shall be available for inspection.
26 Confirmation of public liability insurance in the minimum sum of £2 million shall be provided. A new certificate shall be provided each year.
27 A certificate of inspection for portable fire fighting equipment shall be provided. The inspection shall be carried out annually and a new certificate provided each year.
28 The sale by retail of alcohol shall be confined to the area (s) as outlined in RED on the attached plan (s).
